Terms and Conditions

Effective 8 October 2026

1. About these Terms

These Terms are an agreement between you and S INNOVATIONS (company registration number 802867072), Agamemnonos Metaxa 15, 11524 Athens, Greece (“Ubumi”, “we”, “us”). They apply to the Ubumi app and to ubumi.online. By creating an account or using Ubumi you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Ubumi.

Our Privacy Policy and Age suitability page are part of these Terms.

2. What Ubumi is — and what it is not

Ubumi is a platform that puts people in touch. It is not an employer, an employment agency, a labour broker, a seller, a buyer, a landlord, a carrier or a payment service, and it is not a party to any agreement made between users.

  • When an employer hires a worker through Ubumi, the agreement is between the employer and the worker only. We do not employ workers, set or guarantee pay, supervise work, or check working conditions.
  • When users buy, sell, rent or bid in the marketplace, the sale is between the buyer and the seller only. We do not own, inspect or deliver goods, and we do not guarantee their quality, safety, legality or delivery.
  • Ubumi does not process payments and takes no commission. Pay and prices are agreed and paid directly between users, outside the app. The app never moves money; any amounts it shows are for reference only.

3. Dealing with other users is at your own risk

You decide whom you work with, hire, buy from, sell to and meet. Before you do, make your own checks.

  • We are not responsible for what other users do or fail to do. That includes fraud, false information, impersonation, non-payment, unpaid work, theft, damage, poor or unfinished work, goods that are faulty or never delivered, injuries, and any other harm caused by another user, whether online or in person.
  • If another user deceives or harms you, your claim is against that user, not against Ubumi. Report it to us (section 11) and, if a crime may have been committed, to the police. We will cooperate with the authorities and give them the information the law allows.
  • Identity verification only confirms that someone showed us an identity document that appears to be theirs. It does not mean we vouch for their honesty, skills, qualifications, right to work, financial standing or behaviour.
  • Ratings, ranks, reviews, profiles, job posts and listings are written by users. We do not check that they are true, and a high rank is not a guarantee.
  • Never pay in advance to someone you do not know, never share your password or sign-in codes, and meet in safe places.

4. Who can use Ubumi

  • You must be at least 16 years old. By creating an account you confirm that you are.
  • Your account is personal. Do not create an account for someone else, share it, or let anyone else use it.
  • Employers must follow the law where the work takes place, including checking a worker’s age, identity and right to work before the work starts, and the rules on young workers, health and safety, working time, pay and social insurance.

5. Your account and verification

  • Give accurate information, including a phone number you can be reached on, and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password and codes secret. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at once if you think it has been misused.
  • To use the Worker or Employer role you must pass identity verification. Submit only genuine documents of your own. We may refuse, or later remove, a verified role if documents appear false, belong to someone else, or the role is misused.
  • Facility features may be limited or not yet available.

6. Jobs

  • Employers must describe jobs truthfully — the work, the place, the dates and hours, and the pay, or that the job is voluntary — and pay what they agreed.
  • Workers must describe themselves truthfully and do the work they accept, or cancel in good time.
  • Job posts must not discriminate unlawfully, offer illegal or unsafe work, or recruit anyone under 16.
  • You may put someone else forward for a job only if they have asked you to or agreed to it. We will tell them about it.

7. Marketplace

  • Sellers must have the right to sell or rent what they list, describe it accurately, and comply with the law on the goods (including food safety, plant-health, labelling and tax rules).
  • Do not list goods that are illegal, stolen, counterfeit, dangerous or restricted.
  • Delivery, collection, returns and refunds are agreed between buyer and seller. Your legal rights as a consumer, where you have them, are against the seller.
  • A bid is an offer to the seller. Whether it is binding is between you and the seller.

8. Ratings

  • Rate honestly, and only people you actually worked with. Do not offer or ask for anything in return for a rating.
  • A “report” verdict is checked by our team before it counts. We may remove ratings that break these Terms, and adjust honor points and ranks accordingly.

9. What you must not do

  • Break the law, or use Ubumi for fraud, scams, money laundering, forced or child labour, or human trafficking.
  • Impersonate anyone or create fake accounts, jobs, listings or ratings.
  • Harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
  • Collect other users’ contact details to spam them or for any purpose other than the work or sale you are arranging.
  • Post content that is unlawful, misleading, offensive, or that you do not have the right to post.
  • Interfere with Ubumi, scrape it, attempt to access accounts or systems that are not yours, or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows.

10. Your content

What you post — photos, profile details, job posts, listings, reviews — remains yours. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display and adapt it (for example resize photos) for as long as it is needed to run Ubumi. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies in backups (see the Privacy Policy). You confirm you have the right to post it.

The Ubumi app, name, logo and design belong to us. You may use the app only as these Terms allow.

11. Reports, blocking and moderation

  • You can report a user from their profile and block anyone you do not want to deal with. The person you report is not told who reported them.
  • A person on our team reviews reports. We aim to review them within 24 hours, but we cannot promise any particular outcome or timescale.
  • We are not obliged to monitor what users post, but we may remove content, remove ratings or roles, or close accounts that break these Terms or the law.

Reporting illegal content or copyright infringement

Anyone, with or without an account, can tell us about content on Ubumi they believe is illegal, including photos or text that infringe their copyright. Write to legal@ubumi.online with: where the content is (the profile, listing or job, and a screenshot if you can); why you believe it is illegal or infringing; for copyright, the work you own and that you are its owner or act for the owner; and your name and email address, plus a statement that you believe the notice is accurate and complete. This address is also our point of contact for authorities under the EU Digital Services Act, in English or Greek.

We confirm we have received your notice, review it, and tell you what we decided. If we remove or restrict content, we tell the person who posted it why, and they can reply to the same address to ask us to look again. We may close the accounts of people who repeatedly post infringing or illegal content, and we may ignore notices that are clearly unfounded.

12. Fees

Ubumi is currently free. If we ever introduce paid features, we will show the price clearly and ask for your agreement before charging you.

13. Other services

Ubumi uses services from other companies, such as maps, weather and videos. Information they provide (for example a map, an address lookup, a forecast or an exchange rate) is for guidance only and may be inaccurate. Check anything important — such as a boundary, a distance or a currency conversion — yourself.

14. The service is provided as it is

We work to keep Ubumi running and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or secure, or that any user, job, listing or rating is genuine. Site areas, distances, statistics and production figures are calculated from what users enter and are estimates.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Ubumi is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Ubumi. This includes loss or damage caused by other users or by agreements between users, by errors, interruptions or loss of data, and by events outside our control, as well as indirect or consequential loss and loss of profit, income or business.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that the law does not allow to be limited or excluded — including our liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your rights as a consumer under Greek Law 2251/1994 and the mandatory law of the EU country where you live.

16. Responsibility for your actions

If someone makes a claim against us because of something you did on or through Ubumi — for example a job you posted, goods you sold, content you posted, or a breach of these Terms or the law — you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs this causes us, to the extent the law allows.

17. Closing accounts

You can close your account at any time — see Deleting your account and data.

We may remove a role, restrict an account or close it if you break these Terms or the law, if you put other users at risk, or if we are required to. Where the risk allows, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If you think we have made a mistake, write to us.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms when the service or the law changes. We publish the new version with a new effective date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you can close your account; if you keep using Ubumi after they take effect, they apply to you.

19. Law and disputes

  • These Terms are governed by the law of Greece, and the courts of Athens have jurisdiction.
  • If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can bring proceedings in its courts.
  • Before going to court, please write to us at legal@ubumi.online so we can try to resolve the problem.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
