Your Ubumi account
One Ubumi account carries you across every role on the platform — person, worker, employer, and facility. This page explains what the account holds, how to manage it, and how to delete it.
What the account is
Your account is your identity on Ubumi. It is what lets an employer see who applied for a job, a worker build up a work log that travels with them, and a facility be found by the people who need it. You keep one account no matter how many roles you use.
- User — the base role every account has.
- Worker — apply for jobs, keep a work log, and collect ratings.
- Employer — post jobs, review applicants, and manage sites.
- Facility — list a facility so it can be found and booked.
What it holds
The short version: your identity, the work you have done, and the places you have saved. The Privacy Policy sets out every category in detail.
- Your name, email, phone, and anything else you add to your profile.
- Your roles, and any verification attached to them.
- Jobs you posted or applied for, attendance, and your work log.
- Ratings and reviews from work completed through Ubumi.
- Photos you upload, and locations or field boundaries you save.
How you sign in
Ubumi accounts are held in our own identity service. You can sign in with an email address and password, or with Google or Apple. If you created your account with Google or Apple, you do not have a Ubumi password until you set one.
Deleting from the web
Deletion from this site always takes two steps: you prove the account is yours (password or Google), then you press the button in the confirmation email we send. Nothing is deleted in between, so an unwanted request costs you nothing — just ignore the email.
Managing your account
Day-to-day management happens in the app, under Settings. From there you can edit your profile, switch roles, change your password, and set your notification and language preferences. This website handles the two things that have to work without the app: resetting a forgotten password, and deleting your account.
Your rights over your data
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Section 8 of the Privacy Policy explains the full set of rights and how to exercise them. For a copy of your data, write to privacy@ubumi.online.
Frequently asked questions
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the app sign-in screen, choose Forgot password. We email you a link that opens this website, where you can set a new password — it works whether or not the app is installed.
I signed up with Google. Do I have a password?
No — Google handles your sign-in, so there is no Ubumi password on the account. To delete your account you can either use the app (Settings, then Help, then Delete account), or first set a password using Forgot password on the sign-in screen and then use the form on this page, or email privacy@ubumi.online and we will close it for you.
Why does the delete form ask for my password?
So that only you can close your account. Being able to sign in is not by itself proof that you still hold the mailbox, so there is a second step: after we verify the password we email you a confirmation link, and the account is closed only when you press the button in that email. We do not keep you signed in afterwards.
What actually happens when I delete my account?
Once you press the button in the confirmation email, your sign-in is disabled straight away and the account is closed — you cannot sign in, and your profile and jobs stop being shown. Marketplace listings and stalls stay visible until the final erasure. After 30 days everything is erased permanently by an automated purge. Section 14 of the Privacy Policy lists exactly what is erased and what we have to keep.
I deleted my account by mistake. Can I get it back?
Within the 30-day window, yes — write to privacy@ubumi.online from the address on the account and ask us to restore it. After 30 days the data is gone and cannot be recovered.
Can I sign up again with the same email address?
Yes, immediately. Closing an account releases the email address, so you can register a fresh account with it right away. The new account starts empty — it does not bring back your old profile, work log, or ratings.
Do my ratings and work history disappear too?
Yes. When the account is erased after 30 days, the ratings you gave and received and your work log are deleted with it, and so are the jobs you posted, with the applications and ratings attached to them. We do not keep anonymised copies.
How do I get a copy of my data before deleting?
Email privacy@ubumi.online from the address on your account and ask for a copy. Do this before you delete — once the purge has run there is nothing left to send.
Delete your account
This closes your Ubumi account permanently. Read the FAQ above first if you are unsure — and if you want a copy of your data, ask for it before you delete.
